When we are following a diet plan, we keep a strict observation on the calorie intake in every meal. At the same time, we also want our meal to be tasty, within our calorific limit and yet tummy-filling. Most of you all who follow a diet plan has the same breakfast almost every day. But once in a while, we all crave for something different, something appetising and healthy.

Every day in the morning, my mom asks her favourite question, “What will you have in breakfast?” And, this must be the case for every one of you, Right? But after reading this food blog, you will have a few breakfast ideas which are less than 200 calories and will keep you full for a longer time.

1 Classic Egg Dish – Omelette

Starting with my most favourite go-to food. Eggs are considered one of the best first meal of the day. These are easily available and inexpensive. Bonus point, You can be as experimental with eggs as you want to and turn a simple egg dish to gourmet mains.
However, for breakfast I would like you all to stick to simple classic egg dishes, like scrambled eggs, sunny side up or omelettes. Take care to cook omelettes in olive oil or mustard oil. Also, add vegetables or protein-rich ingredient to make it more healthy.

This dish is gluten-free and provides one with vitamins, minerals and proteins. Oats are also rich in powerful antioxidants, including avenanthramides, which help in reducing the blood pressure. Originally from South India, upma has become India’s favourite, a quick to make breakfast option.
