But, amidst all this merriment, we all often forget about one part which deserves the maximum attention and care during this festival. And that is, Our Skin!
However, Holi is a festival filled with colours and lots of fun, but still, it can take a toll on your skin. Even if you are using organic colours, you still need to take care as any type of colours can be a little harmful to your skin. Also, you have to protect your skin from long exposure to sun rays while playing Holi.

So, let’s not waist our time, we still have a lot to do before Holi…

The most essential skincare tips we should follow…

1. Ice Cubes Rub!

The very first thing you can do is… Massage your face with ice for 10-15 minutes. Ice will close your pores ensuring no penetration of harmful colours.

3. Oiling is Must!

Not only your hair but all the body parts should be oiled properly. The oil layer acts as a barrier between your skin and harmful colours and also make it easier to remove the colour. Oil will not only keep your skin moisturised but also protect you from the harmful sun rays too. So, before stepping out, just give a proper oil massage to your body with simple coconut oil or almond oil or castor oil or a mixture of all three.

4. Nail Polish Protection

To all the beautiful girls and ladies out there… If you like well-manicured nails and want to protect your nails. DO NOT forget to paint your nails and also keep your nail length short. Applying a thick coat of your favourite nail polish will not only protect your nails from harmful colours but also will protect your cuticles too. So, pick your favourite nail polish and protect your nails.

Your lips are important too. So, while going out to play Holi, apply petroleum jelly on to your lips. This will protect and keep your lips hydrated while enjoying the festival. You can also apply a little petroleum jelly on your eyelids and ears so that the colour doesn’t settle there.
