A Fable with a wealth of spiritual gifts – The Monk who Sold His Ferrari

“It’s not what you will get out of the books that is so enriching – it is what the books will get out of you that will ultimately change your life”

― Robin Sharma,  The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari

Something definitely happened to me in 2020. I am not being my old version. And yeah, that’s awesome. But seriously guys I never used to touch the books in the motivational or personal development section. Now, my last few books were motivational books. And, today I will be talking about #1 International Bestselling Author – Robin Sharma’s The monk who sold his Ferrari, a fable bout fulfilling your dreams and reaching your destiny.

“There are some books which are meant to be tasted, others to be swallowed and some to be chewed and digested”

This is a kind of book which needs to be chewed and digested as slowly as possibly you can. The back cover of the book states that “The book that has transformed millions of lives”. And, you will start believing in this statement once you start reading. It has the power to change many lives.

A step by step guide designed to not only improve your life personally or professionally but also spiritually.

It often happens that to make our life better and comfortable, especially for our loved ones, we focus more on professional life rather than personal life. And, we forget about the most important part of our life, that is enjoying our life spiritually as well.

The beautifully crafted fable which the Sages of Sivana has passed onto his student, Julian Mantle (the leading character) and Julian has passed on to his student and friend, John. Now, a short brief on this fable, I am passing onto my loved ones through this blog, hoping that you all will purchase this book and read it.

So, talking about the book. Julian speaks about the seven virtues of enlightened living with a strange story which initially when you read sounds silly. But, as you keep on reading, Julian links each element of the fable with a virtue and explains how should we apply the wisdom on a daily basis.

The virtues which are being explained in this book talks about:

1. The simple daily ritual which will cultivate your mind in a way that you never expected.

2. Power of self-examination and acting courageously on the goal you have set for yourself

3. Working on yourself and you will see the Universe favouring you

4. Cultivating self- discipline and positive thinking

5. Valuing time as the most important commodity

6. Selflessly serving others and contributing to society

7. Nourishing every relationship and savoring the gift of the present

Each virtue mentioned above encompasses few habits to incorporate in your daily life. I would recommend you all to try to adopt one or two habit at a time and master it. As we practice one habit at a time, it will be easier and will benefit more. Eventually, we will be able to perform maximum number of habits mentioned in this book.

Nothing to Extreme,
Everything to Moderation

I will recommend starting with living in the “now” habit and take some time out in the morning to practice meditating. I hope you all will give The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari book a try.

Enjoy the wonderful fable and Happy Reading
